College Try Conversation In Your Head

Wellington indie-rock outfit College Try return with their new single Conversation In Your Head, out October 3rd. Known for their honest lyricism and dynamic sound, the band deliver a cathartic track that captures a relationship at its breaking point.

Exploring themes of disconnection, inner conflict, and the painful realisation that someone you once knew feels like a stranger, Conversation In Your Head is both reflective and explosive — a soundtrack for emotional release and personal reckoning.

PRINS COOL

Christchurch pop powerhouse PRINS is back with Cool, a bold, high-energy single built for late nights and packed dancefloors. Playful, confident, and cheekily flirtatious, the track fuses attitude with irresistible hooks, cementing her rise as one of Aotearoa’s most exciting voices in modern pop. Co-written in Los Angeles with Dillon Deskin (aka Lost Boy), with production credits from Pierre Blondeau and John-Adam Howard, Cool is a taste of her upcoming EP Heaven or Hell (early 2026).

Jack Bromwich Poser, Freak

Tāmaki Makaurau alt-rock artist Jack Bromwich returns with Poser, Freak, the title track and latest single from his debut EP, due out soon. Known for his raw and emotive lyricism paired with melodic yet sometimes abrasive guitar work, Bromwich delivers an introspective cut that explores the messy, transitional skins we shed as young adults.

Following student radio favourites Dust and Never Dreamed, the new single continues to showcase Bromwich’s DIY ethos — the EP was recorded across multiple studios and his own living room, with help from a circle of talented friends. The result is a body of work that shifts between tender and abrasive, surprising listeners at every turn.

Lily Stivens NOT MY OWN

18-year-old Auckland singer-songwriter Lily Stiven makes a bold statement with her new single NOT MY OWN, released today alongside her first-ever headline show at BIG FAN. The track fuses indie-pop energy with raw honesty, exploring themes of identity and self-ownership while introducing a confident new chapter in Lily’s artistry.

Already a three-time Play It Strange finalist and recipient of the NZ On Air Artist Development Fund, Lily has steadily built a name for herself with standout independent singles. NOT MY OWN continues that momentum, pairing soaring vocals with fearless lyricism, and marks her emergence as one of Aotearoa’s most magnetic young voices — live tonight for the very first time.

Foley Suckerpunch

Aotearoa-born, Sydney-based duo Foley are back with Suckerpunch, a euphoric indie-pop anthem co-written with Josh Naley (aka *Wells) and polished by Pedro Calloni (Chappell Roan) and Nathan Dantzler (Sabrina Carpenter). The track captures the gut-punch of heartbreak and the cycle of diving back into love anyway — a rose-tinted, bittersweet ode for hopeless romantics. Accompanied by a Harley Jones visualiser, it plays out like late-night karaoke catharsis, equal parts euphoric and vulnerable.

Following their acclaimed album THAT’S LIFE, BABY! — which earned them an AMA nomination for Best Group and a spot on Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s “80 Best New Zealand Albums of the 2020s So Far” — Suckerpunch signals a fresh sonic shift. Foley are reaching back to their early-2000s influences while pushing forward with their own pop polish, cementing their reputation as one of Aotearoa’s sharpest exports.
